‘Broken Promises’ at The Royal Court

A terrific short play, only half an hour long, but packing a punch. True ensemble acting, where the play developed over the five weeks of rehearsals, and the actors only knew their actual role quite late in the process. Wonderful intense performances, and sobering in its message of how the disenfranchised struggle with extremely powerful personal emotions, exacerbated by the carelessness of institutional injustice.
