Reservoir

This is a view of a large sweeping valley in the Southern Highlands, just south of Sydney in New South Wales. The reservoirs are like gold dust in this parched land, for watering horses and livestock, irrigation of vegetation and cooling relief. I used a limited palette and thin paper to break up the surface of the canvas, and the oil paint is applied very thinly, with sketchy marks. An experiment that I will explore in later work.
